I discovered some plans Glasgow City Council have for moving the north side of the river’s quay wall 20m further south to enable the extra land to be developed as a signature events place. This would include creating a municipal square in front of St Andrews cathedral and building more residential and hotel buildings. The works are due to commence 2022 if the planning permission is granted.
